No, some had better owners so they weren’t worked as hard and got a little education while other slaves were worked until they passed out or in some cases died and didn’t get any education.
I'm not sure if this is correct, but I believe that establishing a government was a major issue. Deciding how the government should be run took a while to figure out, and many drafts to get the final Constitution.
