EASY, answer this simple question :) *What kind of angles are 2 and 3?
IgorLugansk [536]

Answer:

∠2   =  ∠3 is a pair of  Vertical Angles.

Step-by-step explanation:

Whenever two lines intersect with each other, the angle formed between them is called Vertically Opposite Angle.

Here, line l intersects the traversal so,

the angle formed between them  ∠1 and ∠4 are vertically opposite.

So, ∠1 =  ∠4

Also, as ∠1 +  ∠3 =  ∠2  + ∠4 = 180°  (LINEAR PAIRS)

So,  ∠3   =  ∠2 are also vertical angles.

What is the average rate of change of the function f(x) = 4x – 2 over the interval x = –1 and x = 2?
Alexeev081 [22]

Answer:

4

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: f(x)=4x-2

To find:  average rate of change of the function f(x)=4x-2 over the interval x=-1 and x=2

Solution:

Take a=-1,\,b=2

Find f(a),\,f(b)

f(a)=f(-1)\\=4(-1)-2\\=-4-2\\=-6\\\\f(b)=f(2)\\=4(2)-2\\=8-2\\=6

Average rate of change of the function =\frac{f(b)-f(a)}{b-a}

=\frac{f(2)-f(-1)}{2-(-1)}\\\\=\frac{6-(-6)}{3} \\\\=\frac{12}{3}\\\\=4

How would I solve these problems?
oksian1 [2.3K]
You add the whole numbers together first and then you do the numerators then the denominators. Like for example, #2 would be 2 and then 4 on the top and 6 on the bottom since they share a common denominator! Hoped this helps.

F(x) = x + 2 g(x) = x – 4
solniwko [45]

Answer:

x² - 2x - 8

Step-by-step explanation:

The notation (f·g)(x) means to multiply the two functions. Use the distributive property to simplify.

(f·g)(x) = (x+2)(x-4) = x² + 2x - 4x - 8 = x² - 2x - 8
