Given:

The equation is

x^2+(2\sqrt{5})+2x=-10

To find:

The number of roots and discriminant of the given equation.

Solution:

We have,

x^2+(2\sqrt{5})x+2x=-10

The highest degree of given equation is 2. So, the number of roots is also 2.

It can be written as

x^2+(2\sqrt{5}+2)x+10=0

Here, a=1, b=(2\sqrt{5}+2), c=10.

Discriminant of the given equation is

D=b^2-4ac

D=(2\sqrt{5}+2)^2-4(1)(10)

D=20+8\sqrt{5}+4-40

D=8\sqrt{5}-16

D\approx 1.89>0

Since discriminant is 8\sqrt{5}-16\approx 1.89, which is greater than 0, therefore, the given equation has two distinct real roots.

Clabber company has bonds outstanding with a par value of $109,000 and a carrying value of $102,700. if the company calls these
Sever21 [200]
To get the loss or gain, think about the conveying estimation of the bonds with the sum we pay to recover the bonds. In the event that the conveying esteem is more greater than the money paid, there is a gain on the security retirement. In the event that the carrying value is not as much as the money paid, there is a loss on the security retirement.
So plugging in:Par value - 109,000Carrying Value - 102,700
There is a loss of $6,300.

Pls help !! brainilist will be given !!
Anarel [89]

Answer: x = 6, Angle ABC = 45, Angle DBC = 34

Step-by-step explanation:

79 = (5x + 4) + (8x - 3)

79 = 13x + 1

78 = 13x

x = 6

8x - 3      plug in 6 for x

8(6) - 3

Angle ABC = 45

5x + 4     plug in 6 for x

5(6) + 4

Angle DBC = 34

Consider the following IP problem:
Liono4ka [1.6K]

Answer:

(3,0)

Step-by-step explanation:

The integer points which fall in the common region bounded by the lines are

(0,2),(2,3),(3,0)

Since, one of the points is (2.22...,3.11....) we round it to (2,3)

If we round up then the point will be (3,4) which does not fall in the bounded region.

Also x_1\geq 0 and x_2\geq 0 no negative values are considered.

Applying in the values in the LP problem Z=5x_1+x_2

Z=5\times 0+2\\\Rightarrow Z=2

Z=5\times 2+3\\\Rightarrow Z=13

Z=5\times 3+0\\\Rightarrow Z=15

So, the LP problem is maximum at point (3,0).
