So I would set up a porportion: 7 cups flour over 5 cakes. 7/5.

Then the other half would be: x cups over 1 cake. x/1

Set the two equal to each other 7/5=x/1

Cross multiply: 5x=7

Divide to solve for x: x=7/5
x=1.4 cups.

So just used about 1.4 cups of flours per cake.

Plan: “MI AUTO PARA TAXI”
Anastaziya [24]

Answer:

Plan II is more favorable because the total amount to pay is less and the time to pay is greater than Plan I.

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>The question in English is</em></u>

Plan: "MY AUTO FOR TAXI"

Mr. Alberto decides to buy a car in order to perform taxi services. The price of the vehicle is S/45 000, but only S/20 000 is available. He then decides to finance the missing money through a bank. If between the two loan plans offered, you must choose one:

Which of the two options would you recommend to Mr. Alberto?

we know that

The compound interest formula is equal to

A=P(1+\frac{r}{n})^{nt}

where

A is the total amount due

P is the amount owed

r is the rate of interest  in decimal

t is Number of Time Periods

n is the number of times interest is compounded per year

in this problem we have

Plan I

t=2\ years\\ P=\$45,000-\$20,000=\$25,000\\ r=0.05\\n=1

substitute in the formula

A=25,000(1+\frac{0.05}{1})^{1*2}

A=25,000(1.05)^{2}

A=\$27,562.50

Plan II

t=3\ years\\P=\$45,000-\$20,000=\$25,000\\ r=0.03\\n=1

A=25,000(1+\frac{0.03}{1})^{1*3}

A=25,000(1.03)^{3}

A=\$27,318.18

Compare

Plan I ----> t=2 years A=$27,562.50

Plan II----> t=3 years A=$27,318.18

therefore

Plan II is more favorable because the total amount to pay is less and the time to pay is greater than Plan I.

Pamela is 6 years younger than Jiri. The sum of their ages is 64. What is Jiro's age?
Viefleur [7K]

Let's use <em>j</em> to represent Jiri's age.

If Pamela is 6 years younger that Jiri, her age can be represented by <em>j - 6</em>.

Since the sum of their ages is 64, we can setup the equation j + (j - 6) = 64.

Simplifying on the left, we have 2j - 6 = 64.

Adding 6 to both sides, we have 2j = 70.

Dividing both sides by 2, we have j = 35.

So Jiri is 35 years old and Pamela is 6 years younger or 29 years old.

Jack's mother gave him 50 chocolates to give to his friends at his birthday party. He gave 3 chocolates to each of his friends a
Aleksandr [31]

Answer:

3x + 2 = 50

16

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the given situation, the equation to determine the number of friends is shown below:-

We assume the number of friends is x

50 - 3x = 2

-3x = -48

3x = 48

x = 16

So, the equation is

3x + 2 = 50

and the number of friends is 16

Therefore, the equation to determine the number of friends we just solved the above equation.
