What did the framers do to protect individual rights?

History
1 answer:
Liula [17]2 years ago
3 0

Explanation:

The text of the Constitution reflects this vision. It defines our most fundamental freedoms in general terms: “freedom of speech,” “due process of law,” “free exercise” of religion, “equal protection of the laws,” “cruel and unusual punishment.” The Constitution sets forth governmental powers in similarly general terms: Congress may regulate “commerce… among the several states,” the president will “take care that the laws be faithfully executed,” the courts are authorized to decide “cases” and “controversies.”

In the roman republic can everyone participate in government to some degree
SOVA2 [1]
              False.

Women and slaves could not.

Males (although I seem to recall there is something about the poorest of the poor being excluded from certain things in the Republic such as the army, perhaps politics) were divided into groups based on wealth and land: a pyramid scheme. These groups came to collective decisions and cast their vote. Although the largest groups contained the poor, and the smallest groups contained the wealthy ... so the rich, while the minority, could still cast more votes due to how the system was structured.
