In the given scenario above, it is only likely that the employee should tell his or her supervisor that the task requires two hours and explaining it to him or her why the task would not take in just one hour but two hours. It is because it is only appropriate to tell the supervisor the truth for the task does take two hours than just one hour for the task that has been given usually completes in two hours.

The Supreme Court opined that the "guided discretion" statutes would respect the defendant's basic human dignity, as required by
Ymorist [56]

Answer: True

Explanation: The Supreme Court admitted that it is haphazard to treat similar things differently and that mandatory death penalty statutes eliminated this problem, but also reckless to treat two different things the same way. In essence, to impose the same penalty on all convicted murderers, even though all defendants

are different, is just as capricious as imposing a penalty randomly.

To relieve this problem, some sentencing guidelines became necessary. This gave rise to the guided discretion statutes that set standards for juries and judges to

use when deciding whether to impose the death penalty. The Court reasoned that, guided discretion statutes struck a reasonable balance between giving the jury some discretion and allowing it to consider the defendant's background and character and the circumstances surrounding the crime.

Experiential knowledge is knowledge we derive from performing and watching others perform physical activity.
natita [175]

Experiential knowledge is knowledge gained through experience, as opposed to a prior (before experience) knowledge: it can also be contrasted both with propositional (textbook) knowledge, and with practical knowledge.

What is Experiential knowledge?

  • Experiential knowledge is cognate to Michael Polanyi's personal knowledge, as well as to Bertrand Russell's contrast of Knowledge by Acquaintance and by Description.
  • Carl Rogers stressed the importance of experiential knowledge both for the therapist formulating his or her theories, and for the client in therap both things with which most counsellors would agree.
  • As defined by Thomasina Borkman (Emeritus Professor of Sociology, George Mason University) experiential knowledge is the cornerstone of therapy in self-help groups, as opposed to both lay (general) and professional knowledge.
  • Sharing in such groups is the narration of significant life experiences in a process through which the knowledge derived thereof is validated by the group and transformed into a corpus that becomes their fundamental resource and product.
  • Neville Symington has argued that one of the central features of the narcissist is a shying away from experiential knowledge, in favour of adopting wholesale a ready-made way of living drawn from other people's experience.

Which of the following statements is true of labor unions? a. The political power of labor unions has waned over the last sever
meriva

Answer:

The statement that is true out of the statements given about labor unions is Option A: The political power of labor unions has waned over the last several decades.

Explanation:

The political power of labor unions has declined in recent decades in part because of how the labor markets have been changing around the world. The United States has lost a large percentage of its manufacturing jobs to companies who now do a lot of their manufacturing and assembling offshore where labor prices are lower and companies can increase their profit margins. This means there are fewer people employed in traditional industries like the auto industry or at a factory that assembles computers, or some other manufactured goods in the United States. It is the conventional factory that is most closely associated with labor associations that operate on behalf of employees and who represent their interests like unions.
