London dispersion forces occur between nonpolar molecules and are extremely weak.
Dipole-dipole forces are between polar molecules, and since polar molecules have slight charges, their force is more similar to ions, giving them a moderately strong bond. Hydrogen bonds occur when hydrogen is directly bonded to Flourine, Nitrogen, or Oxygen. Because of the extreme polarity if these molecules (e.g. water), hydrogen bonds are the strongest dipole-dipole bonds.
Ionic crystallization packs ions into a crystal, and those are extrao

Reaction with air, water, and hydrogen

The corrosion of solid sodium by oxygen also is accelerated by the presence of small amounts of impurities in the sodium. In ordinary air, sodium metal reacts to form a sodium hydroxide film, which can rapidly absorb carbon dioxide from the air, forming sodium bicarbonate.

What is the type of reaction described: Aqueous lithium iodide and aqueous silver nitrate react to produce solid silver iodide a
RoseWind [281]

Answer:

b)

Explanation:

The reaction being described is double displacement. This is because two diffetent compounds react to initially "switch" places with the other. In this case, iodine takes nitrates place, and lithium takes silvers place it's a way of thinking about it. This creates two completely different compounds.
