Answer:

20 cards

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Your stack is 12  mm tall and is has 48 cards.

             Your friends stack is 5mm tall and has c cards.

To Find:  How many cards are in your friends stack?

Solution:

Stack which is 12 mm tall has cards = 48

So, stack  which is 1 mm tall has cards = \frac{48}{12}

                                                               = 4

So, stack which is 5 mm tall has cards =  4 \times 5

                                                                = 20

Hence there are 20 cards in the stack of your friend .

On a certain hot summer's day, 581 people used the public swimming pool. The daily prices are $1.50 for children and $2.50 for
Tanya [424]

Answer:

A = 219

C = 362

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

581 = C + A

and

$1090.50 = 1.5C + 2.5A

solve 1st for A

A =581 - C

substute into 2nd

1090.50 = 1.5C + 2.5(581 - C)

solve for C

1090.50 = 1.5C + 1452.50 - 2.5C

1090.50 = -C + 1452.50

1090.50 - 1452.50 = -C

-362 = -C

C = 362

then

581 = C + A

581 = 362 + A

219 = A

A = 219

Help I don’t get it..
yan [13]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

the shape looks like a cube.. and maybe they say something about that outside of the picture, even but assuming that it is a cube, we know all the sides are the same.

we also know that the area of one side of the cube is  3 \frac{1}{4}

so multiply that

W x L = area

 3 \frac{1}{4} * 3 \frac{1}{4} = area

10 \frac{9}{16}  = area

10.5625 = area

those two answer above are the same .. just one is in fractions and one is in decimals

there are 6 sides on a cube, so multiply the above answer by 6

6* answer = 63.375

63 \frac{3}{8}  ( this is your answer)

both of those are also identical , but look different for the reasons I mentioned above

use which ever from seems better to you.  :)
