Answer:

Book of 240 pages has 12 booklets in total

Book of 160 pages has 8 booklets in total.

Total booklets both the books have in total = 20

Step-by-step explanation:

Given - There are two books: one of 240 pages and the other of 160 pages. If the 2 books are made up of booklets with the same number of pages (between 16 and 28),

To find - How many booklets do the two books have in total?

Proof -

Given that, Number of pages of a booklet is between 16 and 28.

So, The number that lies between 16 and 28 will have to divide the number of pages of both the books.

(Because given that both the books are made up of booklet with the same number of pages)

By inspection, we get

The number of pages of a booklet = 20

because

240/20 = 12 and 160/20 = 8

∴ we get

1 booklet = 20 pages

i.e.

20 pages = 1 booklet

⇒1 page = \frac{1}{20}booklet

⇒240 pages = \frac{240}{20}booklet = 12 booklet

So, we get

The book of 240 pages has 12 booklets in it.

Now,

1 page = \frac{1}{20}booklet

⇒160 pages = \frac{160}{20}booklet = 8 booklet

So, we get

The book of 160 pages has 8 booklets in it.

∴ we get

Book of 240 pages has 12 booklets in total

Book of 160 pages has 8 booklets in total.

So, Total booklets both the books have = 12 + 8 = 20

What is the slope of the line y= 1
Harrizon [31]

Answer:

The slope of y = 1 is 0

explanation:

Determining slope has been based on a simple formula, y2-y1 over x2-x1.

It is crucial to follow this formula in order to attain the proper slope.

When a simple expression is given, for instance; y = 1 then it could be divided by 0; thus, resulting in the answer simply being zero.

However, x=1  would contain the slope of undefined because any number divided by zero results in an undefined answer.

Suppose that a cyclist began a 364 mi ride across a state at the western edge of the state, at the same time that a car traveli
maw [93]
The car's average rate  is 43.7 mph. The bicycle's average rate is 12.3 mph.

To get this solution, let the bicycle's average rate be (x) and the car's average rate be (x + 31.4) mph.

Distance= Speed x Time
364 = (x + x + 31.4) 6.5
364 = (2x + 31.4) 6.5
364/6.5 = 2x + 31.4
56 = 2x + 31.4
56 - 31.4 = 2x
24.6 = 2x
24.6/2 = x
12.3 = x

x = 12.3 mph
x+31.4 = 43.7 mph
