The pie chart is presented in 3D. While it may look interesting or cool, it's better to convey the data in a flat 2D form instead. The reason why is because it's possible to perceive some slices to be larger than they actually should be. The green slice shows the thickness of it, or the height of the pie slice. The same is for the yellow slice as well. We cannot see the thickness portions of the red or blue slices. So it's very possible that a reader may think that the yellow slice is larger than the blue one, even though they represent the same percentages (so the slices should be the same size).

Also, there's a worry that slices in the back further away from the camera will appear smaller due to the 3D nature of the graph. This helps make the yellow slice (which is closer to the camera) appear slightly larger than the blue slice (further away from the camera). These are slight differences that may be overlooked and could not be an issue; however, it is possible to distort things and make the differences greater. So that's one thing you have to be careful about when it comes to 3D graphs like this. The author of this graph may have not had an intention to deceive, and they may have simply wanted to make it look nice and catch the eye better, but there's no way of knowing for sure. It's simply best to always be on the lookout for anything misleading like this. It happens quite often in statistics.

Answer:

  8.  1483.33

  9.  21 months

Step-by-step explanation:

8. Morgan's income after taxes is 55000/12 = 4583.33 per month. The amount  available after expenses is 4583.33 -3100.00 = 1483.33 per month.

Morgan is able to put $1483.33 per month into savings.

__

9. If Morgan is able to save $1483.33 per month, it will take her ...

  $30,000/$1483.33 ≈ 20.2

months to save $30,000. After 20 months, she won't have quite enough, so it will take her one more month to save the desired amount.

It will take Morgan about 21 months to save $30,000.

_

If you like, you can write an equation for "m", the number of months it will take Morgan to save 30,000:

  1483.33×m = 30,000

  m = 30,000/1483.33 ≈ 20.2 . . . . . . divide by the coefficient of m

Select the expressions that are polynomials.

I believe the first and last one are polynomials. Usually they start with the highest exponent first and then work their way down.

6. For what value of p, the binary number 110P/2 represents 25?
lions [1.4K]

Step-by-step explanation:

25 as binary number is

11001

1×2⁴ + 1×2³ + 0×2² + 0×2¹ + 1×2⁰ = 16 + 8 + 1 = 25

25×2 = 50 = 11001 × 2 = 110010

multiplying a binary number by 2 is the save effect as multiplying a normal decimal number by 10 : all digits move one position to the left, and a 0 is put into the empty right position.

and so, we see

110P = 110010

P = 010

FYI : you normally don't mix binary and decimal numbers. if one of the numbers is binary, then all the others have to be binary too.

so, the problem should have looked like

110P/10 = 11001

110P = 11001×10 = 110010

P = 010
