Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{Meg}{Tanner} = \frac{4}{3}

total dist. driven = dist. Meg drove + dist. Tanner drove

Meg = 112

Tanner = x    or how far did Tanner drive?

\frac{112}{x} = \frac{4}{3}

\frac{3}{4} * 112 = x

84 =x   so Tanner drove 84 miles

total driven = 112 + 84

total driven = 196    :)

Find the commission based on total sales of $98,000 and a commission rate of 1.5%.
Nookie1986 [14]

Answer:

$1470

Step-by-step explanation:

98,000 \rightarrow 100%

x           \rightarrow 1.5%

98,000(1.5)=x(100)\\\\x=\frac{98000(1.5)}{100}\\\\x=980*1.5\\\\x=1470

grigory [225]
We will be using the binomial probability formula to solve the problem

The formula is given by ⁿCₓ (p)ˣ (1-p)ⁿ⁻ˣ

Where:
n = the number of trials = 100
x = the number of samples we are trying on = 3
p = the probability of success = 2% = 0.02

We can either calculate ⁿCₓ by using the scientific calculator using the ^nC_r button or by doing it manually use \frac{n!}{(n-x)!x!}

P(3) = ¹⁰⁰C₃ (0.02)³ (1 - 0.02)¹⁰⁰⁻³
P(3) = ¹⁰⁰C₃ (0.02)³ (0.98)⁹⁸
P(3) = 0.182 (rounded to three decimal places)
