An object, initially at rest, moves with a constant acceleration of 10 m/s2. How far will it travel in (a) 2.0 s and (b) 4.0 s?

If this object had an initial velocity of 4 m/s, how far will it travel in (C) 2.0 s and (d) 4.0 s?

Explanation:

Initially, the object is at rest, u = 0

Acceleration of the object, a=10\ m/s^2

(a) Distance travel in 2 second can be calculated using second equation of motion as :

s=ut+\dfrac{1}{2}at^2

s=\dfrac{1}{2}\times 10\times 2^2=20\ m

(b) Distance travel in 4 second can be calculated using second equation of motion as :

s=\dfrac{1}{2}\times 10\times 4^2=80\ m

(c) Initial velocity of the object, u = 4 m/s

s=ut+\dfrac{1}{2}at^2

s=4\times 2+\dfrac{1}{2}\times 10\times 2^2=28\ m

(d) s=ut+\dfrac{1}{2}at^2

s=4\times 4+\dfrac{1}{2}\times 10\times 2^2=36\ m

Hence, this is the required solution.

A drag racer starts from rest and accelerates at 7.4 m/s2. How far will he travel in 2.0 seconds?
Leto [7]

Using the kinematic equation below we can determine the distance traveled if t=2, a=7.4m/s^2.  First we must determine the final velocity:

v_{final}=v_{initial}+\frac{1}{2}at\\\\v_{final}=0+(7.4m/s^2)(2s)=34.8m/s

Now we will determine the distance traveled:

v_{final}^2=v_{initial}^2+2a \Delta x\\\\\Delta x = \frac{v_{final}^2}{2a} =\frac{(34.8)^2}{(2)(7.4)}=81.83 m

Therefore, the drag racer traveled 81.83 meters in 2 seconds.

How is the amount of space an objective takes up measures?
tigry1 [53]

The amount of space an objective takes up measures by volume.

<u>Explanation:</u>

Volume is a proportion of the measure of space, unfilled column that a substance or an item takes up. The essential SI unit to volume denotes in the (cubic meter), yet volumes might be estimated in cubic centimetres, and fluids might be estimated in liters (L) or milli-liters (mL). How the volume of matter is estimated relies upon its state. The fluid's volume is estimated with an estimating holder, for example, an estimating cup or graduated chamber.

The gas volume relies upon the volume of its holder: gases able to occupy anything that space is accessible to them. The occupied space of a routinely molded strong can be determined from its measurements. For instance, the rectangle’s volume strong is the result of its width, length, and stature. The volume of a sporadically molded strong can be estimated by the uprooting technique.

Dimension of radius of sphere
Readme [11.4K]

Answer:

The dimension is L

Explanation:

Dimension analysis is a method of representing quantities majorly with respect to some fundamental quantities of mass (M), length (L), time (T).

A sphere has a definite volume which relates to its radius by:

V = \frac{4}{3}\pir^{3}

In this equation \pi is a dimensionless quantity, and the unit of v is m^{3}.

But, metre is a measure of length, thus it has a dimension of L.

So that,

m^{3} ≅ L^{3}

Then,

L^{3} = r^{3}

Find the cube root of both sides to have,

r = L

Therefore, the dimension of the radius of a sphere is L.

State guy lussac law
tatuchka [14]

<span>The combined gas law has no official founder; it is simply the incorporation of the three laws that was discovered. The combined gas law is a gas law that combines Gay-Lussac’s Law, Boyle’s Law and Charle’s Law.  Boyle’s law states that pressure is inversely proportional with volume at constant temperature. Charle’s law states that volume is directly proportional with temperature at constant pressure. And Gay-Lussac’s law shows that pressure is directly proportional with temperature at constant volume. The combination of these laws known now as combined gas law gives the ratio between the product of pressure-volume and the temperature of the system is constant. Which gives PV/T=k(constant). When comparing a substance under different conditions, the combined gas law becomes P1V1/T1 = P2V2/T2.</span>
