Can someone help me with 9,10, and 11 please you don’t have to do all of them just atleast one for me

Hi! So what you will need to know is pythagorean theorm.

What the theorm basically says is a^2 + b^2 = c^2.

-- The (a,b,c) are referring to the sides of the triangles (3 letters for 3 sides).

Take note that "c" is always the side opposite of the right angle.

The other known side could be "a" or "b"

Taking a look at problem 9, identify the "c" value. The "c" value would be 35.

Then indentify the value of "b" or "a". "a" would = 20.

Plug it into the equation:

20^2 + b^2 = 35^2

400 + b^2 = 1225

solve for b.

1. subtract 400 from both sides.

b^2 = 825

b = $\sqrt{825}$

you could solve for the square root but it would give a decimal numbers but I'm not sure what the teacher is looking for.

For number 9, you would use the formula a^2+b^2=c^2, also “^” means exponents. C would be 35 because the angle is pointing right at it, keep that in mind. We have to find out the other angle so A would be X and B would be 20, it does not mater if you go b^2+a^2=c^2 or a^2+b^2=c^2. Now the equation is x^2+20^2=35^2, now you did the math you would get x^2+400=1225. You have to leave x alone so you would subtract 400 from 1225, now you have x^2=825. To cancel out the exponent for X, to do the square root of x^2, when you do that you cross out the square root and the exponent so all you have is X. Finally, what you do to one side you do to the other. The square root of 825 is 28 but if you round up it is 29 (you will see in the picture I send.) So, x=28
