Answer

5.7 minutes

Explanation

We can solve this question by comparison.

If he take 57 minutes to run 10 miles, what of in 1 minute?

10 miles ⇒ 57 minutes

1 mile ⇒ ?

We can cross multiply this to get,

1 × 57

10

=57/10

=5.7 minutes.

PLEASE HELP ME ANY ANSWERS I WILL ACCEPT IT PLEASEEEE!!!!!) Marina wants to purchase a rosebush for d dollars at a garden store.
victus00 [196]

PART A

write two different, equivalent expressions for how much the rosebush will cost if the coupon is applied first and the 10% discount second. d-(d-5).10 = 27.5 (if you put d in as 30!)

PART B

write an expression for how much the rosebush will cost if the 10% discount is applied first and the coupon is applied second. d-(d*.10)-5 =22 (if you put d in as 30!)

PART C

which order will save marina more money? explain your reasoning.

d-(d*.10)-5 This equals less! if you put in 30 as an example

So, A) d-(d-5).10 B) d-(d*.10)-5 C) d-(d*.10)-5

The function p(x) = –8x2 – 64x can be written in vertex form p(x) = a(x – h)2 + k, where a =
nydimaria [60]
Means compplete the square on one side

basically get into form f(x)=a(x-h)^2+k

ok, group x terms
p(x)=(-8x^2-64x)
factor out linear coefient (-8)
p(x)=-8(x^2+8x)
take 1/2 of the linear coefient and square it
8/2=4, 4^2=16
add positive and negaitve of that inside parntheaese
p(x)=-8(x^2+8x+16-16)
factor perfect square
p(x)=-8((x+4)^2-16)
expand
p(x)=-8(x+4)^2+128

in vertex form it is p(x)=-8(x+4)^2+128

Which lists show numbers ordered from least to greatest? Choose all that apply.
saw5 [17]
The answer is C. -3 3/4, -2 1/4, 1 1/8

It is because the highest number in the negatives, -3 3/4, is always the lowest. Obviously if there is no negative sign it is positive. 1 1/8 is the only positive so it is the greatest. And -2 1/4 is lower that -3 3/4. So it is higher than -3 3/4 but lower than 1 1/8.

I'm sorry I'm not the best explainer, but does this help?
