Answer: A pair of inverse operations is defined as two operations that will be performed on a number or

variable, that always results in the original number or variable. Another way to think of this is

that the two inverse operations “undo” each other. For example, addition and subtraction are

inverse operations since we can say

x x    2 2 . If we start with x, then add 2 and subtract 2,

we are left with the original starting variable x.

There are several inverse operations you should be familiar with: addition and subtraction,

multiplication and division, squares and square roots (for positive numbers), as well as cubes and

cube roots. The following examples summarize how to undo these operations using their

inverses

On a given day, machine A has a 10% chance of malfunctioning and machine B has a 7% chance of the same. Given that at least one
valentinak56 [21]
I will give an instance to answer this. Suppose that we have 1,000 days. And it was given above that machine A has 10 % chances to malfunctioned and B has a 7%.  So machine A has 100 days that malfunctioned while machine B has 70 days. And 7 days that both machines malfunctioned (10%x7%). Next is to add 100 days from machine A and 70 days from machine B and subtract with the 7 days where both of them malfunctioned. So the result is 163 days out of 1000 that we expect an incidence of failure. So the chance of machine B to malfunctioned is 70 days. 70/163 is 42.93%

Determine which statements are true about the extrema of the graphed to fourth degree Polynomial. Select all that apply.
EleoNora [17]

Answer:

Refer answer below

Step-by-step explanation:

Given is a graph in the interval (-infinity, infinity).

From the graph we observe that it is continuous graph.

The curve is decreasing for x <-2 and increases for (-2,1) and again decreases from (1,3) then increases from (3,infinity)

Hence f'(x) >0 for (-2,1) and (3,infinity)

f'(x) <0 for (-infty, -2) and (1,3)

From the above we find that f'(x) =0 for x=-2,1,and 3

Extreme points are -2,1 and 3

Absolute and local minima at x=-2, y=-9.67

Local maxima at (1,6.08) and again

local minima at (3,0.75)

Absolute maxima  lies at infinity
