Given:

A test has 10 questions worth 100 points.

Points of each multiple choice question = 4

Points of each open-response question = 12

To find:

The number of multiple choice questions.

Solution:

Let x be the number of multiple choice questions and y be the open-response questions.

According to the question,

Total question : x+y=10         ...(i)

Total points : 4x+12y=100      ...(ii)

Form (i), we get

y=10-x         ...(iii)

Putting this in (ii), we get

4x+12(10-x)=100

4x+120-12x=100

-8x=100-120

-8x=-20

Dividing both sides by -8, we get

x=\dfrac{-20}{-8}

x=2.5

Since x is the number of multiple choice questions, so it cannot be a faction value.

Therefore, the number of multiple choice questions in test are either 2 or 3.

Factor 49x^2 -7x -30 please hurry
salantis [7]

Answer:

(7x + 5)(7x - 6)

Step-by-step explanation:

49x² - 7x - 30

49 is 7 x 7 , 30 is 2 x 3 x 5

49x² - 42x + 35x - 30

7x(7x - 6) + 5(7x - 6)

(7x + 5)(7x - 6)

Rosie needs to buy balloons and tablecloths for her party. Each balloon costs $1.50 and each tablecloth costs $2.25. She cannot
Snezhnost [94]

Answer:

1.50x + 2.25y ≤ 30

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi, let’s say that 'y' represent the tablecloths.

So, we have to write an inequality:

The product of the number of balloons (x) and the cost of each one (1.50) plus the product of the number of tablecloths (y) and the cost of each tablecloth (2.25) must be less or equal to Rosie's budget (30)

Mathematically speaking:

1.50x + 2.25y ≤ 30

What is the distance between A and B? Round your answer to the nearest hundredth. (4 points)
evablogger [386]

Answer: 10.63

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the distance formula, you insert the coordinates into their respective places. Seven minus zero equals seven, and negative two minus six is negative eight. Then you have to square those, making it equal 49 plus 64. Add them together, then square root it.
