If BTS=GHD BS=25 TS=14 BT=31 GD=4x-11 S=56 B=21 and H=(7y+5) find the values of x and y
77julia77 [94]

Given:

Consider the completer question is "If ∆BTS≅∆GHD, BS=25, TS=14, BT=31, GD=4x-11, m∠S=56, m∠B=21 and m∠H=(7y+5), find the values of x and y.

To find:

The values of x and y.

Solution:

We have,

\Delta BTS\cong \Delta GHD       (Given)

BS=GD                       (CPCTC)

25=4x-11

25+11=4x

36=4x

Divide both sides by 4.

9=x

In ∆BTS,

\angle B+\angle T+\angle S=180^\circ    (Angle sum property)

21^\circ+\angle T+56^\circ=180^\circ

77^\circ+\angle T=180^\circ

\angle T=180^\circ-77^\circ

\angle T=103^\circ

Now,

\angle T=\angle H            (CPCTC)

103=7y+5

103-5=7y

98=7y

Divide both sides by 7.

14=y

Therefore, the value of x is 9 and value of y is 14.

HOW TO DETERMINE SLOPE AND Y-INTERCEPT: Use the instructions below to answer this question.

EQUATION: y=\frac{-3}{4}x-3

-------------------------------------------------

<h2>INSTRUCTIONS:</h2>

FINDING THE Y-INTERCEPT:

Do this simply by finding the number your graph starts at on the Y-Axis (vertical line)! In this case, it's at -3!

FINDING SLOPE:

Remember that slope is rise over run (\frac{rise}{run})

RISE = How far the line goes <em>up </em>and <em>down</em>.

RUN = How far the line goes <em>left </em>or <em>right</em>.

HOW DO I FIND IT? All you have to do is count both rise and run from one point on the line to another! WARNING: The point must hit at a vertex, it cannot be counted if it is in the center of the box, or anywhere that does not touch the edge. I also suggest starting from the <u>Y-Intercept</u> and counting.

GOING LEFT OR DOWN: This is a positive number

GOING RIGHT OR UP: This is a negative number.

(You will see how this applies, below, yayyyy)

CALCULATING OUR NUMERATOR, AKA RISE:

Starting from the y, to get to the next point on the line, you can see we have to go down three. This means our numerator is -3!

CALCULATING OUR DENOMENATOR, AKA RUN:

Starting from where we just stopped, we must continue getting to the next point, and to do that, you can see we have to go to the right four! This means our denomenator is 4!

Write the equation of the circle centered at (4, - 9) with diameter 16.<br> HELP A GIRL OUT
iragen [17]

Answer:

16= (x-4)^2 +(y+9)^2

Step-by-step explanation:

hey! The formula for the equation of a circle is r^2= (x-h)^2 + (y-k)^2

r= the radius (in your case you have the diameter so you do not need to square it)

(h,k)= is the center coordinates, so your center coordinate would be (4, -9). You now have your h (h=4) and your k (k=-9) so you can plug it in the formula! :)

a nice rating would help out
