Answer:

x = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Equation: 3x + 13 = 25

Step 1: Subtract 13 from both sides.

3x + 13 = 25

     - 13   - 13

      3x = 12

Step 2: Divide both sides by 3.

3x   =  12

3     =   3

x = 4

P(Larger or blue) = 7/10. In a bag we have blue and red marbels, which are large and small as in the table shown in the image, the probability of taking a large or blue marble is 7/10.

The key to solve this problem is find the probability of the union events using the equation P(A∪B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A∩B).

For this problem we have P(Large or Blue) = P(Large) + P(Blue) - P(Large and Blue). The total of the large ones is 25 and the small ones is 15, meaning that the sum of both is 40. P(large) = 25/40, P(Blue) 20/40, and P(Large and Blue) = 17/40

P(Large or Blue) = 25/40 + 20/40 - 17/40 = 28/40 dividing by 4 both terms of the fraction.

P(large or Blue) = 7/10

PLEASE SHOW ALL WORK!!!

Part A: We know that the equation for finding the area of a triangle is A=.0.5(base)(height)=0.5bh; we also know that base=(8x+2) and height=(4x-5), so the only thing we need to do is replacing those values into our Area equation and solve for x:
A=0.5(8x+2)(4x-5)
A=0.5(32 x^{2} -40x+8x-10)
A=0.5(32 x^{2} -32x-10)
A=16 x^{2} -16x-5
Now the only thing left is factor the quadratic polynomial:
A=(4x+1)(4x-5)

W can conclude that the area of our triangle is A=(4x+1)(4x-5)

Part B: Our polynomial has three terms, so is a trinomial; also, our polynoal only has one variable, x, and the largest exponent of that variable is 2; therefore is a degree 2 polynomial. In summary, we have a trinomial of degree 2.

Part C: Part A demonstrate the closure property of polynomials because after multiplying tow polynomials we obtained another polynomial.

13x−2=

−
10
x
−
2
−10x−2
Misha Larkins [42]

Answer:

x=0

Step-by-step explanation:

13x-2 = 10x-2

Subtract 10x from each side

13x-10x-2 = 10x-2 -10x

3x-2 = -2

Add 2 for each side

3x-2+2 = -2+2

3x= 0

divide by 3

3x/3 = 0/3

x =0
