Answer:

1. Excretion

Explanation:

Excretion is the process of removal of metabolic waste from body. Excretory system of human being includes kidneys as the primary organ of urine formation and removes the urea from the body. Since urea was once a metabolite in the body, it is called as metabolic waste. Breakdown of amino acids in liver produces ammonia as by production which in turn is converted into urea in liver itself.

A frameshift mutation that occurs very early in a protein sequence would have what effect on the protein's structure? see sectio
ExtremeBDS [4]
I think a frameshift mutation that occurs very early in a protein sequence would have an effect on the structure of the protein such that the primary, secondary, and tertiary structures would be altered. A frameshift mutation occurs when a protein is drastically altered because of an insertion or a deletion. Insertions and deletions cause a change in the length of a gene, which causes a shift in the codon reading frame.

artcher [175]

Answer: Ecosystem Services

Explanation: Simply put,Ecosystem services refer to all the benefits that man enjoys from his relationship with the ecosystem.Ecosystem services are the benefits that people obtain from ecosystems. Ecosystem services are indispensable to the wellbeing of all people, everywhere in the world. They include provision, regulation and cultural services that directly affect people, and supporting services needed to maintain the other services. From the availability of adequate food and water, to disease regulation of vectors, pests, and pathogens, human health and well-being depends on these services and conditions from the natural environment.

We depend on nature for our survival – without healthy ecosystems, our drinking water isn’t clean nor is the air we breathe. Studies also show that people who spend time in nature tend to be happier than those that don’t. Being outdoor can even act as a natural anti-depressant. With industry and urban sprawl expanding at unprecedented rates, Ecosystem Services attempt to translate the benefits we receive from nature into economic terms so we can better understand the compromise we are making between nature and industrial development.

Answer:

The correct option is C) A mouse and a human have about the same number of genes.

Explanation:

The technique of genetic sequencing has enable us to learn and compare thee genomes of different organisms. Genome sequencing proves that the genome of the humans and mice are about 99 percent similar. The number of genes in the mouse genome and the genome of humans is almost equal.

Other options, like option A, cannot be true because many complex organisms have fewer chromosomes than other organisms. For example, there are many simple plants which have more number of chromosomes than the complex humans.

What gas is a reactant in cellular respiration
pochemuha

Answer:

Explanation: Although cellular respiration has multiple parts, the basic chemical equation is:

Answer: Oxygen

Explanation: Oxygen + Glucose (sugar) = Carbon Dioxide + Water + Energy (ATP)

This equation is often broken into two parts, the reactants and the products. Reactants are the molecules that begin cellular respiration, in this case that would be oxygen and glucose. Products are what forms during cellular respiration. Here, the products are carbon dioxide, water, and energy. As the focus of this lesson is on the reactants of cellular respiration, oxygen and glucose, let's take a look at those.

Reactants--

The first reactant in the equation for cellular respiration is oxygen. Most people are familiar with oxygen since it's the primary gas needed for sustaining our lives. We obtain oxygen by simply breathing. Oxygen is highly reactive and therefore perfectly suited for driving chemical reactions such as cellular respiration. However, people may be less familiar with the second reactant in our respiration equation: glucose.
