The Periodic Table can predict the properties of new elements, because it organizes the elements according to their atomic numbers.

I hope this helps

crimeas [40]

Answer:

Fossil record gives evidence of evolution:  Earliest land animals.  A fossil called Tiktaalik has been found to be halfway between a fish and the earliest land animals

Explanation:

Fossil record documents the hystory life by fossils that have been found in the sedimentary rock layers

The fossil record matches the geologic record:

The oldest forms of life were much more simple than the newest forms of life.

Explanation:

The geologic record can be associated with sedimentary datable layers

First identify the gametes. use pink labels to identify the male and female gamete types and white labels to identify the gamete
Lady bird [3.3K]
I found the whole exercise on the internet. Attached is the scheme with labels for the gametes, f2 generation, and respective frequencies.

For the gametes position, on the left pink square on the male gametes side you should put a capital G, <span>and on the right pink square on the male gametes side you should put a small g, as</span> the only two possible offsprings that are showing is "GG" under the left male gamete and "gg" under the right male gamete. On the top pink square on the female gametes side you should put a capital G, and on the bottom pink square on the female gametes side you should put a small g, as the only two possible offsprings that are showing is "GG" on the same line as the top female gamete and "gg" on the same line as the bottom female gamete.
As for the frequencies of the gametes, you should put the white label that marks 1/2 by the side of each gamete.
Related to the F2 generation, the top right and bottom left pink squares should have the label with a capital G and small g - "Gg" which reflects the combination of the male gamete on its line with the female gamete also on its line.
As for the frequencies of the progeny, each of the genotypes formed from the union of the gametes should have by the side the white label that marks 1/4.
The totals would be that GG is 1/4, Gg is 1/2 (1/4+1/4), and gg is also 1/4.

The sequence of three nucleotides that code for specific amino acids or stop signals in the synthesis of protein is called an?
stich3 [128]

<span>Codon. The genetic code comprises of all the codons in the genome. Codons, other than the stop codons, code for 20 amino acids. Codons, that are comprises of three nucleotides, have a possible 64 combination from permutation computation.  61 of these combiantions code for proteins while the rest stop translation.  </span>

Which organism is NOT made up of 1or more eukaryotic cells?
nalin [4]

Answer:

D

Explanation:

Methanogens are prokaryotes and therefore have prokaryotic cells. They are single-celled archaea. They are found in hypoxic conditions like the first stomach of ruminants where they digest molecules like cellulose and produce methane as a byproduct. The rest are composed of eukaryotic cells which are much larger than prokaryotic cells and their organelles are membrane-bound (unlike prokaryotes).

Salmon hatcheries are commonly found near rivers along the West Coast of the United States because of decline in wild salmon pop
Sidana [21]

Answer:

Salmon populations in the United States is declining due to the following factors:

1. Over-fishing and human activities have put a major influence on the population of salmon.

2. Due to industrialization, urban growth, unplanned farming, deforestation, and pollution would have imparted strains on the stocks of salmon. Apart from this chemical contamination from the industrial run-off and agricultural activities are also declining populations of salmon.

3. Genetically modified fish from hatcheries usually escape and interbreed with wild fish, thus, changing the genetic features of the populations.

4. Construction of hydropower dams is also a major cause of the salmon population declining.
