1. Going to the Doctor

It is likely that if you go to a doctor’s office, you will be asked for your social security card. Doctor’s offices use your social security number both for billing and insurance purposes, and to make sure that your medical information is not used by unauthorized people.

2. Getting a Job

If you want to get a job, you’ll probably also need to show your social security card to your employer. Employers are required to use your social security number for wage reporting on W-2 forms. Your employer may also use your social security number to verify that you are eligible to work inside the United States.

3. Using a Credit Card

If you are thinking of applying for a credit card, you will need to provide your card issuer with your social security number as well. This lets creditors verify your credit worthiness.

4. Getting an Education

Colleges may also ask for your social security card. This helps them ensure that you are eligible to attend school in the United States and that you are who you say you are.

5. Opening a Bank Account

If you want to open a bank account, you’ll probably be asked for your social security card. Banks use the cards for a variety of purposes, including verifying your identity in case you forget your account number and verifying your credit worthiness. Banks also need your social security number to report the interest your account accrues to the IRS.

Because social security cards have become such an integral part of life, losing them can make it a lot harder to function in society. Fortunately, your local social security card office can help you with social security card replacement. You will need to bring proof of your identity (such as a driver’s license) and citizenship (such as a birth certificate or certificate of citizenship) and will have to fill out a replacement form to obtain a new card. However, replacements are free.

Hope this helps, pls mark me brainiest if it does

Imagine that after completing your economics course (you get an A, of course) you are at a family gathering. Your grandmother as
Maksim231197 [3]

Answer:

$16,875

Explanation:

The amount received per year is $15,000 and the CPI increased from 144 to 162

Inflation rate = (New CPI - Old CPI)/Old CPI * 100

Inflation rate = 162-144/144 * 100

Inflation rate = 0.125

Inflation rate = 12.5%

Amount received = $15,000 * 12.5% = $1,875

==> $15,000 + $1,875 = $16,875

So, Grandmother will receive $16,875

If a payback period for a project is greater than its expected useful life, the ___________.
just olya [345]

Answer: d. Entire initial investment will not be recovered.

Explanation:

The Payback period by definition is the amount of time it will take a Project to recover the initial investment into it. For example, if a project had an investment of $20 million and made $5 million every year, the Payback period would be 4 years.

Now, if the amount of time it will take to recover an investment is longer than the expected amount of time the project will run (expected useful life) then logically speaking that would mean that the Investment would not be entirely recovered because the project will be done before it can pay off the investment hence Option D is correct.

2.Think of two investment opportunities and compare them to each other. Give a brief outline of what they are, how they work, an
Eddi Din [679]
So lets say we have two investment opportunities. A new convenient store in your neighborhood or a new shopping center more than 5 miles away from where you live... What would you invest in well lets look at the pros and cons of each investment. So even though the new convenient store is right around the corner from you and prices are low the new shopping center has better products, warranty and higher prices unlike the convenient store closer to you. So we have an investment budget of $1000 dollars and want to spend it wisely we need to access what has a better chance of being successful with what you put into it. So the convenient store will reach less people has a bargain price but also doesn't have security cameras. Even though the shopping center has great employees, top-of-the-line products, high security, and a great establishment but also has flaws. What are you gonna invest in,  will you take risks? My personal opinion is that I would invest in the shopping center because more people would be attracted to it because of the quality of service and products. So it would have a better probability in success and good use of my money.
