Which of the following statments correctly describes the difference between plant cells and animal cell
Trava [24]

Answer:

Hiya there!

Explanation:

The difference between plant cells and animal cells is that plant cells are surrounded by a cell wall wile animal cells are not. The existence of the cell wall is used for photosynthesis of plants because it is in the cell wall where the chloroplast is located. Plant cells do not have lysosomes which has an important function for waste disposal of animal cell.

If a single bacteriophage infects one E. coli cell present on a lawn of bacteria and, upon lysis, yields 175 viable viruses, how
iVinArrow [24]

Answer:

9.378*10^8

Explanation:

The number of phages in each cycle = 175

The number of host infected in each cycle = 175

The number of phages released by each hosts in each turn  = 175

There are total 4 cycle .

So the total number of phages that exist in a single plaque if 3 more lytic cycles occur

= 175*175*175*175\\= 175^4\\= 9.378*10^8

Based on the location of the flagellum what function does it serve
Pepsi [2]
<span>The filament of a flagellum rotates in a kind of sinusoidal motion, resembling a ship’s propeller or a corkscrew. Since the flagellum pushes instead of pulls, it is located at the rear of the microorganism. If there is more than one, they may act as a bundle. The direction of rotation determines the path of the microorganism. Flagella also serve as sensors, particularly for the detection of moisture.</span>

Use the normal ecg trace below to determine how many seconds the trace represents as well as the heart rate.
mezya [45]
Attached is the image of the concerned ECG reading.

In reading the ECG, first you read the heart rate. To read the heart rate, you must count for the number of small boxes in between QRS complexes, specifically R-R intervals. These number of small boxes will then be used to divide 1500. In this example, there are 20 small boxes between R-R intervals. 1500 divided by 20 is 75, so the heart rate of this ECG reading is 75 beats per minute.

<em>Another way, albeit less accurate, is to count the big squares between R-R intervals and instead of dividing it by 1500, you divide it by 300.</em>
