Biology

Explanation: Sudden Increase Factors:

- Since there are no predators, there are no ways they could be eaten, with this case, it significantly increases the population.

- Since there are a lot of females, and some males, the males could find mates, and have some baby reindeer, which also increase the population.

Sudden Decrease Factors:

- One decreasing factor is starvation. With there being so many reindeers, all the food is going away quickly. After a few years after the growth spurt, most of them probably died because of there not being a lot of food.

- Another decreasing factor is Old Age. Since there are 21 females, they are older than the babies, and they couldn't have lived much longer, and probably died.

- Another factor; sickness. With there being starvation, their immune system is degrading, and meaning sicknesses could come, so maybe a huge sickness // disease came, and wiped out quite a bit of the population.

I really hoped this helped. :)

Answer:

Prokaryotes lack a true nucleus with well defined nuclear membrane and other membrane-bound organelles. Mitochondria are the double membrane bound organelle and hence is absent in prokaryotes. Mesosome is an extension of the cell membrane presence in the cytoplasm as infolding and serves to increases surface area and as a site for cellular respiration in prokaryotes. Histones are positively charged proteins that serve in the packaging of negatively charged eukaryotic DNA but are absent in prokaryotes.

So, the correct answer is option A.(DNA is complexed with histones).

What is a reflex arc? what are the roles of the afferent and efferent nerves in this arc?
svp [43]

A reflex arc is a neural pathway that controls a reflex. In vertebrates, most sensory neurons do not pass directly into the brain, but synapse in the spinal cord.

Afferent nerve fibers carry signals from the somatic receptors to the posterior horn of the spinal cord or to the brainstem.

How can karyotype analysis explain genetic disorders lab 15 2 answers?
damaskus [11]

A karyotype is a picture in which the chromosomes of a cell have been stained so that the banding patterns of the chromosomes appear. This way it is possible to view abnormalities in the chromosomes. Disorders such as aneuploidy can be diagnosed by karyotype. It can also help identify local abnormalities on chromosomes such as abnormalities in chromosome length, and location of the centromere.
