The heart cells must be able to continue aerobic metabolism when skeletal muscle cannot. Aerobic metabolism is a part of cellular respiration and involves body cells making energy through glycolysis, the citric acid cycle, and the electron transport/oxidative. It is done in the heart at a rate below 85% of maximum heart rate and does not use vigorous muscle contraction. fatty acids , ketone bodies and carbohydrates are the primary substrates of the heart metabolized to generate ATP. The metabolic demands of the heart are the largest than any other organ in the body, and normal cardiac metabolism is required to fuel contractile function and viability.

Table 1: The horizontal pulling forces (F) and resulting acceleration (a) for the cart.

The cart experiences no motion when there is 0.1 N of horizontal force, so F=0 in this case. When one uses Newton's Second Law to find the acceleration caused by each force, it becomes clear that every row in the chart represents a horizontal force of approximately F=20 N. The best fit for the missing value is F=-30N.

Por que el transporte de oxigeno es más eficiente en los sistemas circulatorios cerrados?
Vlad1618 [11]

Answer:

The closed circulatory system considerably enhances the speed, precision, and efficiency of the circulation. The blood flows far more rapidly and it takes less time to circulate through the closed system and return to the heart.
