Jefferson and the Antifederalists supported the states having many rights and the strict interpretation of the Constitution. These two sides discussed and negotiated the terms of the new Constitution through the delegates that participated in the Constitutional Convention of 1787, held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Federalist.

A federalist was the American politician that supported the creation of a strong central government and a loose interpretation of the Constitution. We are talking about federalists like Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and Jhon Jay.

Political leader.

A political leader is the one who has gained the power and reputation to lead a group of politicians and can exert certain pressure to make decisions.
