Answer:

35.1 g

Explanation:

Given data:

Mass of Al(OH)₃ = 100 g

Mass of water formed = ?

Solution:

Chemical equation:

2Al(OH)₃ → Al₂O₃ + 3H₂O

Number of moles of Al(OH)₃:

Number of moles = mass/molar mass

Number of moles = 100 g/ 78 g/mol

Number of moles = 1.3 mol

now we will compare the moles of Al(OH)₃ with water.

                          Al(OH)₃ : H₂O

                             2 : 3

                             1.3 : 3/2×1.3 = 1.95

Mass of water produced:

Mass = number of moles ×molar mass

Mass = 1.95 mol × 18 g/mol

Mass = 35.1 g

List the number of protons neutrons and electrons in 13/6 C
Charra [1.4K]

Answer:

             Number of Protons = 6

             Number of Electrons = 6

             Number of Neutrons = 7

Explanation:

Number of Protons:

As the number of protons present in the nucleus are equal to the atomic number therefore, using periodic table one can easily find out the atomic number of C atom. Hence, C is present in group 14 and period 2 and having an atomic number of 6. Therefore, number of protons in C atom are 6.

Number of Electrons:

As shown in statement, C is not carrying any type of charge. It means this atom is neutral in nature. Which means, it is carrying the same number of electrons as the number of protons in order to give a neutral atom. Therefore, it contains 6 electrons.

Number of Neutrons:

Number of neutrons can be calculated using following formula,

No. of Neutrons = Atomic Mass - Number of Protons

As,

                                    Atomic Mass = 13

So,

                                    No. of Neutrons = 13 - 6

                                    No. of Neutrons = 7

Which is having more bond order and what is the bond order in BF₃ and BF₄⁻ ?
il63 [147K]

The bond order of BF₄⁻ is 1 and the bond order of BF₃ is 1.33

So, BF₃ is having more bond order than BF₄⁻.

In other words, BF₃ > BF₄⁻ ( You can write Bond Order or in B.O it's the abbreviation of Bond Order ).

Why is studying atoms and their parts and particles helpful to people?
ddd [48]
The study of atomic structure helps us understand more about the way the universe is constructed, how our bodies are made, and the components of life, which we can apply to other sciences in the fields of: health and disease prevention, fuels, product industry etc... It basically helps us to understand how we can make new things and how to utilize the power of the universe.
