1. The fourteenth and fifteenth Amendments  

Following the Civil War, the fourteenth and fifteenth alterations were passed. The U.S. Senate site condensed these changes. The fourteenth Amendment "allowed citizenship to all people 'conceived or naturalized in the United States,' including previous slaves, and gave all subjects 'meet assurance under the laws,' expanding the arrangements of the Bill of Rights to the states."  

2. Circumvention of Voter Rights

Regardless of the endorsement of the fourteenth and fifteenth corrections, casting a ballot rights for African Americans and different minorities were all the while being bypassed. Laws known as the "Jim Crow Laws" were "a formal, systematized arrangement of racial politically-sanctioned racial segregation that ruled the American South for 75% of a century starting during the 1890s.  

3. Section of the 24th Amendment
