What conditions existed that led to the independence movements of Soviet satellites countries and republics
leonid [27]

Answer:

There are three conditions that we can identify:

  • Glasnot: this word means "transparency" in Russian and was one of the two landmark policies of Mikhail Gorbachev. It led to a more open and transparent soviet government: the government now allowed criticism from citizens.
  • Perestroika: this world means "restructuring" in Russian, and was the other landmark policy of Gorbachev. It led to changes in the Russian economy, but these changes in the end could not fully save the lagging socialist, planned economy.
  • Movements within the Soviet Union: both glasnot and perestroika propelled internal movements within the Soviet Union, and Russia, which was the central Soviet country, and this inspired similar movements in other Soviet republics.

Can the spread of modern ideas and technology be compared to the Renaissance<br>in Europe?
LenaWriter [7]

The Renaissance – that cultural, political, scientific and intellectual explosion in Europe between the 14th and 17th centuries – represents perhaps the most profoundly important period in human development since the fall of Ancient Rome.

And it can be compared to the modern ideas and technology because they are changing the way we work, the food we eat, the way music is played and listened to. Computers, apps and sophisticated cell phones manage our time, our studies, communications and even our shopping. You can solve loads of difficulties in everyday life if you know how to handle technology. The world can not step backwards, this fundamental change has come to stay.
