To find the surface area of a cylinder, add the areas of the two circles and the rectangular piece connecting them

area of circle: A = pi(r)^2
A = pi(7)^2
A = 49pi

area of rectangle: A = length X width
the length is the circumference of the circle
C = 2pi(r)
C = 2pi(7)
C = 14pi
multiply 14 pi by the width 5
area of rectangle: 70pi

add the areas of the two circles and the rectangle:
49pi + 49pi + 70pi = 168pi

ANSWER: 168pi
for the decimal if you use pi on the calculator then the answer is 527.8
but if u multiply by 3.14 the answer is 527.5

hope this helps!

Gwar [14]

Answer:

x= 3, y = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

(45x -5) + (16x + 2) = 180° (because p and q are parallel )

61x = 180 therefore x = 3

(16x +2) + 26y = 180° (because it's a right angle)

we already kniw x is 3 sp just put the values in place and you will find the answer as 5.

Find the value of this pronumeral
patriot [66]
A straight angle measures 180º.
A triangle's interior angles also measure 180º.
The angle measuring 130º is complementary to the corresponding interior angle, so that interior angle plus 130 has to equal exactly 180º.
180 - 130 = 50º
45 + 50 = 95º, so subtract that from 180 to find the measure of the last interior angle of the triangle.
180 - 95 = 85º
That angle of 85º is complementary to the other outside angle, n, and to find that subtract 85 from 180.
180 - 85 = 95º
n = 95
Hope this helps!

simplify the expression write your answer as a complex number. three square root of 16 plus square root of - 9
german

Answer:

\large\boxed{3\sqrt{16}+\sqrt{-9}=12+3i}

Step-by-step explanation:

3\sqrt{16}+\sqrt{-9}\\\\\sqrt{16}=4\ \text{because}\ 4^2=16\\\\\sqrt{-9}=\sqrt{(9)(-1)}\qquad\text{use}\ \sqrt{ab}=\sqrt{a}\cdot\sqrt{b}\\=\sqrt9\cdot\sqrt{-1}=(**)\\\sqrt9=3\ \text{because}\ 3^2=9\\\sqrt{-1}=i\\(**)=3i\\\\3\sqrt{16}+\sqrt{-9}=(3)(4)+3i=12+3i
