How were economic competition and imperialism causes of world war 1?

History

Imperialism was a cause because building an empire needs manpower such as an army and a navy to take and keep the land that they colonized. The collapse of the Ottoman nation presented an opportunity for imperial powers to increase their power. Bismarck and Disraeli had reminded about it, the Balkans were a dangerous zone and the powers must leave the area alone. In the Berlin audience, independent Serbia was rejected access to the coast in Bosnia because Austria wanted those lands. Nicholas II wanted to secure the Baltic Sea as a Russian area. The colonial conflicts that were emerging in other parts of the world (as in China) quickly were in the heart of Europe and the conflict for imperial dominance excited to European ground.

Imperialism was one of the causes of World War 1. Imperialism means that two countries want to invade the same piece of land as one another. This will result in war because both countries will fight for who gets to take over the other country.
Economic competition was another cause because it was a rivalry of which countries had more profits.
Hope this helps.
