Although the Russian army had great numbers, the soldiers weren’t equipped or trained to fight, in World War I. They didn’t have the right equipment and armor. Over the next three years, almost 2 million Russian soldiers were killed in battle and another 5 million were wounded. The Russian people blamed the Tsar for entering the war and getting so many people killed. I hope this helps, I only know a little of this topic.
