Answer: D.It's personification; Running makes the speaker feel extremely happy.

Personification refers to a rhetorical device in which animals and inanimate objects are given human qualities. In this case, the speaker claims that his legs laugh. This is an example of the legs being personified. The meaning that the author tries to convey with this figurative language is that running makes him feel extremely happy.

matrenka [14]
He was bold, you could tell, not by the way he walked, talked, or even by the way he shouted at the peasants below him, but by what he was wearing. A dark, long black cloak that caught in the wind as he strutted past his enemies as they bowed before him, black goggles you could not see his eyes through, wild white locks, and shiny black boots that glistened as they caught the slivers of light shining through the night. He was incredible. He stretched out his hand to grab the powerful wand, not yet touching it, when I noticed a gaping scar on his left hand. I was so in awe that I could not stand. Would this be the end of life as we know it?

I hope this helps, this was taken from one of the stories I am currently writing. :)

Read the claim. A student tutoring program should be established so that peers can help one another. Which statement best uses p
NeTakaya

Answer:

With careful student pairings, academics would improve and new friendships would form.

Explanation:

Pathos is the appeal to emotions. Two of the sentences really appeal to the readers' emotions. The sentence about student pairings and the sentence about families complaining. The question though asks which uses pathos to support the claim that "A student tutoring program should be established so that peers can help one another." The last sentence about families complaining does not directly support the claim that peers can help one another. The cost benefit of a student-run program is just a side benefit.
