Answer:

The War of 1812 changed the course of American history. Because America had managed to fight the world's greatest military power to a virtual standstill, it gained international respect. Furthermore, it instilled a greater sense of nationalism among its citizens. Having just defeated the British in the War of 1812, Americans shared a sense of national unity and loyalty to their country. They felt secure and began to enjoy a booming national economy. With the end of the War of 1812, the Native Americans could no longer count on Great Britain to shield them from the flood of white settlers headed west. Settlers came in droves by the Erie Canal or through the Cumberland Gap. ... In the years after the War of 1812, new states north and south entered the Union.

pychu [463]

The right answer for the question that is being asked and shown above is that: "b. whether its intent has been compromised."

Re argument was largely devoted to the circumstances surrounding the adoption of the Fourteenth Amendment in 1868. The Supreme Court studies the Fourteenth Amendment to determine b. whether its intent has been compromised.

Explanation:

Since the 14th Amendment approach citizenship rights and fair protection under the law, it would be reserved for blacks in the late 1800s. The 14th Amendment was submitted in response to issues reported to former slaves during the Civil War. I would have to say that the Supreme Court studies the 14th Amendment to limit which Human Rights Acts to pass and which do not pass, an example could be abortion. Another time the Supreme Court would have to use the 14th Amendment to create something is if a person was not getting managed equally since the 14th Amendment states equal rights and equal power under the law.

In 1977 the total dollar value of Washington's exports and imports or two-way trade was 10.4 billion dollars, whereas in 2007 th
Montano1993 [528]

According to the text, why has trade grown in Washington state?:

All ports have become more advanced.

Two seaports can handle big bulk ships.  (read for this one)

Air, rail, and truck industries work in coordination.

River ports have become the state’s most important ports.

Explanation:

So all of these you can get from the text, for the first option I chose, it says it in "International trade has flourished because Washington has excellent seaports, river ports, and airports" so this option is for sure correct.

For the second one I chose, I'm not 10000% sure, in the text it says "This growth was based on the improvement in the transportation system and port facilities to handle large volumes of bulk cargo, general cargo, and containers" Now, it says bulk ships, but not bulk cargo which might not be right, but then again it does say that this improved trade, soooo I'm not so sure :/

For the third, this is for sure right because it mentions this here: "This was a joint effort of the air, rail, and trucking industries to move commodities to and from port facilities"

For the last throughout the passage it doesn't say word for word that the ports were the most important, but they do mention that the ports made the economy flourish, therefore I think it's right

Anyways the only one I'm not 10000% sure is right is this option: Two seaports can handle big bulk ships.
