I think it would be important to the nation because it would give POC a chance to speak up and people being able to listen to their opinions. And, it might also be helpful to hear from other people.

To add, a referendum (plural referendums, see below) is a
direct vote in which an entire electorate is asked to vote on a particular
proposal.
If two individual forces are of equal magnitude and opposite direction, then the forces are said to be balanced. An object is said to be acted upon by an unbalanced force only when there is an individual force that is not being balanced by a force of equal magnitude and in the opposite direction.
