I believe it should be 60 animals were in there before. I just simply took different numbers on my calculator and multiplied by 80% until I got 48. Meaning 80% of 60 is 48. Let me know if this was right.

Help me out the number inside the triangle is really throwing me off tbh
prisoha [69]

We are given an angle of 60° and a side of 15 cm.

We are given the opposite and is looking for the hypotenuse so we will use the sine ratio to find x.

sin = opp/hyp

hyp = 15 / sin 60

hyp = 17.32...

//

We can also use the tangent ratio to find the adjecent and then use pythagorean to find x.

tan = opp/adj

adj = 15 / tan 60

adj = 8.660.....

8.660....² + 15² = 300²

since the square root of 300 is an irrational number, we have to turn it into a mixed radical.

The answer would be the top one.

Leya [2.2K]
Upstream: 14 - 4 = 10. Miles per hour.
16 miles = 1.6 hours.

Downstream: 14 + 4 = 18.
16 miles = 16/18 = 8/9 or 0.888 of an hour.
