In your response, be sure to address all parts of the question. Use complete sentences; an outline or bulleted list alone is not

acceptable.
“Americans often preferred not to think about the terrible war in Europe [the First World War]. By 1917, however, US citizens realized that ignoring the war or pretending it had nothing to do with them imperiled their future.

“. . . They realized that they had run out of options. Between 1914 and 1917, Americans had variously hoped that their nation could serve as an arbiter (as it had during the Russo-Japanese War, earning Theodore Roosevelt the country’s first Nobel Peace Prize), the leader of a global peace movement, the center of international arbitration, and the advocate of worldwide disarmament. By early 1917, however, the majority had come to two conclusions. First, as Charles Fremont Taylor, the editor of a Philadelphia-based magazine, articulated, ‘no nation can be a hermit in these days of steamships, railroads, telegraphs, ocean cables, wireless, etc.’ They no longer believed, as they had in 1914, that the Atlantic Ocean provided the country with sufficient protection from Europe’s wars. Second, they believed that their leaders had tried every option short of war only to find the country in an even more perilous geopolitical position.”

Michael S. Neiberg, historian, The Path to War: How the First World War Created Modern America, 2016

Ber [7]

Answer:

1. Drinking alcohol influences people's tendency to become socially aggressive?

2. Experimental hypothesis:

In this experiment, if teenagers between 16 to 19, drink 100% agave tequila, then they become socially aggresive.

Dependent variable: social aggresiveness.

Independent variable: 100% agave tequila consumption.

Explanation:

Experimental conditions: these group members will consume alcohol at specified given conditions.

Control conditions: these group members will not consume alcohol.

The participants in this experiment are 16 teenagers aged from 16 to 19, 8 teenagers will be allowed to drink 100% agave tequila, and 8 teenagers will be the control group.

All teenagers participants belong to four mexican related families which will represent the experiment´s group.

Group # 1: Sanchez family with 4 participants aged 16 and 19 year old teenagers will be in the experimental group and the 17 and 18 year old ones, in the control group.

Group # 2: Gutierrez family with 3 participants aged 16 year old twins  in the control and one 19 year old in the experimental group.

Group # 3: Lopez family with 5 participants, 16, 17 and 19 year old in experimental group and 18 year old twins in the control group.

Group # 4: Santillan family with 4 participants, the 16 and 18 year old will be in the control group and the 17 and 19 will be in the experimental group.

Experimental procedures to help ensure the reliability of the research.

The participants are to be observed during four different family parties thrown by each family participating on four different dates for interaction and social aggressiveness when consuming alcohol. In the Sanchez´ family party and first observation the teenagers drink 4, 6 oz. 100% agave tequila "caballitos" for them to drink in a one hour time frame.

In the Gutierrez´ party´s observation the participants are to drink 5, 6 oz 100% agave tequila "caballitos" within one hour time frame.

In the Lopez´ party´s observation the participants are to drink 6, 6 oz 100% agave tequila "caballitos" within one hour time frame.

In the Santillan´s party´s observation the participants are to drink 7, 6 oz 100% agave tequila "caballitos" within one hour time frame.

Hypothesis: The teenagers in the experimental group will develop increasing social aggressiveness within their alcohol consumption.

Conclusion: the 4 mexican families are now enemies as all their teenagers in the experimental group became aggressive after drinking 100% agave tequila and ended up fighting with each other in each party.
