Answer:

The correct answer is A. The goal of the Nuestra Señora del Pilar presidio was to stop future French encroachment in Spanish territory.

Explanation:

The presidio was founded in 1721. Its purpose was to prevent French expansion into Spanish territory, by Christianizing the local Indians and making them loyal subjects of the Spanish crown. In 1729, it was designated a city of residence in the province of Texas. After Louisiana moved to Spain in 1762, there was no longer a need for an ecclesiastical or military Spanish presence in East Texas.

How did the foreign-born population become a major factor in american political life between 1820 and 1850? Who considered this
natita [175]
In the United States immigrant communities became a larger political influence in the early 19th century because of their dramatically increasing numbers. There were a large number of Irish and German immigrants coming to the US at this time due to famine in Ireland and political persecution in Germany. In response to the large influx of immigrants and their potential to influence the political system different groups of Americans took on anti-immigrant or "nativist" views, being strongly against the influx of immigrants and feared that these new immigrants would take their jobs. In response the Know-Nothing Party was formed to opposed this increased immigration politically.

In the Romantic era (1820-1900), artists of all kinds became intent in what? The term “Romanticism” derived from what? Define. N
Ganezh [65]
Romanticism was an artistic, literary, musical and intellectual movement that originated in Europe toward the end of the 18th century and in most areas was at its peak in the approximate period from 1800 to 1850. Romanticism was characterized by its emphasis on emotion and individualism as well as glorification of all the past and nature, preferring the medieval rather than the classical. It was partly a reaction to the Industrial Revolution, the aristocratic social and political norms of the Age of Enlightenment, and the scientific rationalization of nature - all components of modernity. It was embodied most strongly in the visual arts, music, and literature, but had a major impact on historiography, education, and the natural sciences. It had a significant and complex effect on politics, and while for much of the Romantic period it was associated with liberalism and radicalism, its long-term effect on the growth of nationalism was perhaps more significant.

mafiozo [28]

Answer:

The Mormons faced persecution in New York and Illinois. They wanted to find a place where they would be free to practice their religion.

Therefore, they started out on a westward journey and settled near the Great Salt Lake.

There was a lot of religious persecution in the past and this played a major role in the establishment of the United States as we know it today. If Puritans had not been mistreated in England they might not have founded some colonies in the Americas.

Unfortunately this religious repression continued even in the United States and one such group that suffered were the Mormons. The movement started in the first half of the 19th century and after facing some persecution, they left New York and Illinois and went further westward where they could practice being Mormons in peace.
