Math seems difficult because it takes time and energy. Many people don't experience sufficient time to "get" math lessons, and they fall behind as the teacher moves on.

Help me simplify this problem please
Eva8 [605]
4x+2x^2+3x-2x+7
First, you would combine like terms. In this case, you would add 4x and 3x then subtract 2x.
2x^2+5x+7

5x^2-2x+3+4x-2x^2
Once again, you must combine like terms. Subtract 2x^2 from 5x^2, then subtract 2x from 4x.
3x^2+2x+3

There you go! Hope it helps

The mall is 15 miles from your home your school is 1/2 of the way from your home to the mall the library is 2/5 of the way from
irina1246 [14]

Answer:  The mall is 12 miles from his home to the library.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Number of miles is from his home from the mall = 15 miles

The school  is \dfrac{1}{2} of the way from his home to the mall.

The library is \dfrac{2}{5} of the way from your school to the mall.

According to question, it becomes,

15=\dfrac{1}{2}x\\\\15\times 2=x\\\\x=30\ miles

So, the number of miles from his home to the library is \dfrac{2}{5}\times 30=2\times 6=12\ miles

Hence, the mall is 12 miles from his home to the library.

Problems 5, 7A, and 7C are the only ones with correct answers.

But for 1 - 6, you're also supposed to color in the same amount of the big square,
and for 7, you're also supposed to mark a dot on the number line.  You haven't
done any of these things.

All of these problems are just changing a fraction to another fraction that's
equivalent but has a different denominator.  Whatever the old denominator
was multiplied by to get the new one, the old numerator also has to be
multiplied by the same thing.  If you don't do that, then you've changed
the value of the fraction.

You have some more work to do.
