Answer: A good scientific question is one that can have an answer and be tested. "Why is that a rock?" is not as good a question as "What are rocks made of?" 2. A good scientific question can be tested by some experiment or measurement that you can do.

express the area A of a right triangle as a function of the height h if the height of the triangle is twice its base
ANTONII [103]
Let ABC a right triangle with ∠ A= 90° and let AH = h, the height of Δ ABC.

Area of Δ ABC = (base x height)/2 .
Area of Δ ABC = (BC x h)/2 . But h = 2.BC, then plugin the value of h
Area of Δ ABC = (BC x 2.BC)/2 .
Area of Δ ABC = (2.BC²)/2 .
Area of Δ ABC = (BC)²

Suppose a political advisor is interested in the proportion of the vote an opponent will receive. If he samples voters randomly
Bumek [7]

It is required to increase the number of voters he will sample and increase the significance level in order to reduce the Type II error.

What is a Type II error?

A type II error, also known as false-negative, is an error that occurs when the experimenter fails to reject a false null hypothesis.

A type II error can be drastically reduced by using more rigorous criteria, thereby increasing the power of the testing procedure.

It is also possible to reduce Type II errors by increasing the significance level used in the testing procedure.
