Answer:

The slope is -2.

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope formula is ⇒ \displaystyle \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

\displaystyle \frac{(-4)-8}{5-(-1)}=\frac{-12}{6}=\frac{-12\div6}{6\div6}=\frac{-2}{1}=-2

Therefore, the slope is 2, and the correct answer is 2.

so you just do the slope formula

which y2-y1 over x2-x1 in fraction form

so you would do

(-1 , 8)    (5  , -4)

(x1 , y1)  (x2 , y2)

             -4 - 8   over 5- (-1)

which would give you the fraction 12/6

it can be simplified to 2

so 2 is your slope

hope it help

I’ll give u brainliest!!<br> what is the area of shape 1, 2 and 3
nevsk [136]

Answer:

Shape 1: 25.915

Shape 2: 102.85

Shape 3: 142

Step-by-step explanation:

For shape 1, you have to divide 7.1 to get half the width of the triangle. You get 3.55 from that, and then finding the triangle itself you have to do 7.3*3.55 to get 25.915. For shape 2, you first do the harder parts (the triangles) and since there is two of them we don't need to half the width of each triangle. But first to get the width, we need to do 20-17.4=2.6. But since there are 2 triangles we need to divide that by 2 to get 1.3. Then you multiply that by 5.5 to get the final area of both triangles which is 7.15. Next you simply find the rectangle which is 17.4*5.5=95.7. You add the triangles area to get 102.85. Finally for shape 3 you simply do 7.1*20=142.

What is the surface area of a cone with a diameter of 28 cm. and height 22 cm in terms of Ï.
Svetlanka [38]

To find the surface area of a cone, use this formula.

pi (r) (r + [square root of h^2 plus r^2] )        substitute

h = height = 22                  r = radius = 28/2 = 14      [ ] = sq. root

pi (14) (14 + [ 22^2 + 14^2 ])                        solve exponents

pi (14) (14 + [484 + 196])                             add

pi (14) (14 + [680])                                       solve square root

pi (14) (14 + 2[170])                                     add

pi (14) (40.0768)                                         multiply

pi (561.075)  is about 561.1 rounded to nearest tenth

So the answer is C. 561.1pi cm^2
