Joe has eaten 3/5 of pizza. Jane has eaten 1/7 of pizza. how many times more pizza has Joe eaten than Jane
Lana71 [14]

The answer would be 14/5.

First of all, get the denominators to be the same. The LCM is  5 × 7 = 3/5

So  1 /7 × 5/ 5 = 5 /3/5

And  2/ 5 × 7 /7 = 14 /35

Now we have  5 /35  and  14 /35

Then all you have to do is divide Joe's by Jane's to get the answer.

14 /35 ÷ 5 35 =14 /35 × 35/ 5 = 14 /5

Meaning the answer is 14/5.

Hope I could help! :)

You bake a batch of muffins. You freeze 6 muffins and share the rest equally among yourself and 2 friends. Write an expression t
Tatiana [17]

Answer:

m=\displaystyle \frac{t-6}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi there!

Let <em>t</em> equal the total number of muffins.

t-6 ⇒ This represents freezing the 6 muffins

\displaystyle \frac{t-6}{3} ⇒ This represents sharing the remaining muffins among 3 people

Therefore, the expression would be \displaystyle \frac{t-6}{3}.

If you would like to change this into an equation, it would be m=\displaystyle \frac{t-6}{3}, where <em>m</em> is the number of muffins that each person gets.

I hope this helps!

Could you please find what x=<br><br>for both of them please <br><br>thank you
insens350 [35]
8x-23=3x+22
Add 23 to both sides
8x=3x+45
Subtract 3x from both sides
5x=45
Divide both sides by 5
X=9

X+10+x+14=22
Add like terms
2x+24=22
Subtract 24 from both sides
2x=-2
Divide both sides by 2
X=-1
