Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula is the same almost as the previous question you posted.

You want to find the major arc. That's almost the whole circle. If it was the whole circle,  the formula would be 2 * pi * r

But we only want a part of it. Just how big is the angle we use in the formula?

A circle has 360 degrees to go around it. We've cut out a slice of it that is 30 degrees.

The remaining part is 360 - 30 = 330

Arc length = angle / 360  * 2 * pi * r

r = 3 m

Arc length = 330 / 360 * 2 * pi * 3

Arc length = 0.9167 * 6 * 3.14

Arc length = 17.27

the length of a rectangle is 2 cm less than five times the width. the area of the rectangle is 16 cm^2. find the length and widt
ahrayia [7]
<span>length = L
</span>width = w

L = (5w-2) cm

w(5w-2)=16 \\ 5w^2-2w-16=0 \\ D=b^2-4ac=(-2)^2-4*5*(-16)=324 \\ w_{1,2}= \frac{-bб \sqrt{D} }{2a}  \\ w_1= \frac{2- \sqrt{324} }{2*5}= \frac{2-18}{10}=-1.6 \ \ \O \\ w_2=  \frac{2+18}{10}=2 cm

width = 2 cm
length = 5w-2 = 5*2-2 = 8 cm

Which of the following is a result of the construction of a median of a triangle?
olga2289 [7]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  A side of the triangle is bisected

Step-by-step explanation:

The median of a triangle connects a vertex to the midpoint of the opposite side. That is, it bisects the side it meets:

  A side of the triangle is bisected

_____

<em>Comment on other choices</em>

A median will be an angle bisector only if the triangle is isosceles. Likewise, it will only be perpendicular to the side if the triangle is isosceles.

There are several points called "center" of a triangle, including the centroid (on the median), the incenter, the circumcenter, and the orthocenter.

The ratio of boys to girls in hometown is 2:3. If there are 8 boys, how many girls are there?
Ilya [14]

Answer: If the radio boys to girls is 2:3 you can solve the problem with equivalent fractions: 2/3 = 8/x , to be equivalent you have to multiply the numerator and denominator by the same number, which for this case has to be 4. The answer is: if there are 8 boys , there are 12 girls
