b. Both forces act in the same direction, so add their magnitudes.

Net force: 2 N + 4 N = 6 N to the right

Change in motion: the box will move to the right.

c. The forces act in opposite directions, so subtract the magnitudes. The motion is in the direction of the force with greater magnitude.

Net force: 10 N - 8 N = 2 N to the right

Change in motion: the box will move to the right.

the sum of all interior angles in a polygon is

180( n - 2)

n = number of sides

now, this polygon is a quadrilateral, so it has 4 sides, so it's total is just 180( 4 - 2) = 360.

360=x+4x+3x+2x\implies 360=10x\implies \cfrac{360}{10}=x\implies 36=x

lina2011 [118]

Answer:

3 pieces left over

Step-by-step explanation:

Laurie has a total of 45 pieces of candy, if she has 6 friends, you can do

45 \div 6 = 7.5

each friend can get 7 pieces of candy

7 \times 6 = 42

if each friend gets 7 pieces, you have used 42 pieces out of you total 45

45 - 42 = 3

which leaves 3 pieces left over.
