Calcuate the number of<br> grams of solute in 453.9mL<br> of 0.237 M calcium acetate
AysviL [449]

The number of  grams : 17.082 g

<h3>Further explanation</h3>

Molarity shows the number of moles of solute in every 1 liter of solute or mmol in each ml of solution

\large {\boxed {\bold {M ~ = ~ \dfrac {n} {V}}}

Where

M = Molarity

n = Number of moles of solute

V = Volume of solution

453.9 mL  of 0.237 M calcium acetate

  • mol

\tt mol=M\times V=0.237\times 0.4539=0.108

  • mass

MW Ca(C₂H₃OO)₂ : 158,17 g/mol

\tt mass=mol\times MW\\\\mass=0.108\times 158.17=17.082~g

Scientific notation is used to express large numbers in convenient form true or false
Olin [163]
<span>Scientific notation is used to express large numbers in a way that is to use, readable, comparable to other numbers and convenient. It is especially useful for things that are very large and very small because it is very tedious to work with many zero's when completing complex math problems.</span>

A ball of mass 0.2 kg is dropped from a height of 10 m. How much mechanical energy does it have right before it hits the ground?
lana [24]

Answer:

19.6 J

Step-by-step explanation:

Before the ball is dropped, it has a <em>potential energy </em>

PE = mgh

PE = 0.2 × 10 × 9.8

PE = 19.6 J

Just before the ball hits the ground, the potential energy has been converted into kinetic (<em>mechanical</em>) energy.

KE = 19.6 J
