What event that didn’t happen could have prevented the Declaration of Independence and the American revolution
nlexa [21]
I don’t really know of an event that didn’t happen but if The British would have treated the colonists as friends rather then enemies it would have gotten them out of dept, and we could have never seen independence. If the British government had granted the colonists representation, it might have been prevented. Another branch off of that is if the British want so greedy to keep the American trade for itself and share more with the French. There was a prohibition on trading with France. France was a major market for American goods, especially food, but Britain wanted to keep all American trade for itself so they decreased their share of goods.

Hopefully this sort of helps.

Why do you think the debt
lbvjy [14]

Answer: I think the taxes rose to 14 trillion today because of wars that have happened in the past. For example, the government had to pay a lot of money for WW II which costed them 4.69 trillion. The government also pays for  technology and education for schools and businesses , and to provide goods and services for the benefit for the people who live in America. They also pay for medical care a social services. So, in conclusion the government pays a lot for our everyday needs and survival.
