4 only fits into the interval 2 < x ≤ 7 (the bottom one listed), so you only need to do the calculation as if your function was f(x) = -6.

Now this is both a simple and tricky function, f(x) = -6. It’s tricky, because there’s no x on the right side. But that’s what makes it simple, once you understand how that works.

Since there isn’t any x on the right side, the output/y-value is just always -6. There’s no calculation needed to do.

So, f(4) = -6.

Recap:
Step 1: figure out which piece of the function to use
Step 2: evaluate the function only using that piece.

balandron [24]

Answer:

Neither binomial nor normal distribution

Step-by-step explanation:

In binomial distribution Sumner of trials are fixed and there is only two outcomes either success or failure

But in this question there are no fixed trials and outcomes is not proper so this is not a binomial distribution.

In normal distribution there is information of mean and variance which is also not give in the question so it is also nit a normal distribution

So it is neither binomial nor normal distribution

A study found that out of 300 people 60% of them prefer to eat hamburgers rather than hot dogs. Find the 95% confidence interval
Lerok [7]

Answer:

(0.5446, 0.6554)

Step-by-step explanation:

As the sample is sufficiently large, the formula is used to estimate the proportion shown in the attached image.

Where:

P: sample proportion = 0.6

n: Sample size = 300

1-\alpha: Confidence level = 0.95

α: Significance = 0.05

Z_{\alpha / 2} = 1.96 *

* Obtained from the normal standard table.

When introducing these values in the formula shown in the image we obtain:

0.6 + 1.96 *\sqrt {\frac{0.6*0.4}{300}}

0.6 - 1.96 *\sqrt{\frac{0.6*0.4}{300}}

Finally, the confidence interval is:

(0.5446, 0.6554)

Instructions: Find the length of the missing sides. Round your
lora16 [44]

The values of x and y are 19 and 14 respectively.

<h3 /><h3>How to determine the length</h3>

Given the hypotenuse = 24

Opposite = x

Adjacent = y

Let's use the sine ratio to find the opposite side

sin of angle = opposite/hypotenuse

sin 54 = x/24

Cross multiplysin 54 × 24 ,= x

x = 19.42

x = 19

To find the adjacent side, we use cosine ratio

cos = adjacent/hypotenuse

cos 54 = y/25

Cross multiply

cos 54 × 24 = y

y = 14

Thus, the values of x and y are 19 and 14 respectively.
