For one, you should remember all the good times and the fun you had, and not focus on the negative. Don't get a horse too soon, make a grave or a memorial. If you have pictures, maybe make a picture wall to always see him/her. Then talk about it with someone you trust, get out, and see that your horse is in a better place, so don't worry about that!
