Multiply both sides of the equation by 12. Move the variables to the left-hand side and change its sign. Move the constant to the left-hand side and change its sign. Collect like terms. Add the numbers. Divide both sides of the equation by 12.

1/2 x - 5= - 1/2 x + 19/4
6x -20= - 6x + 57
6x + 6x= 57 + 20
12x= 57 + 20
12x= 77
ANSWER
x = 77/12
Alternative Form .
x = 6 5/12, x= 6.416

Best Approach would be by Multiply through by the LCM of the Denominators (2,3,4).

LCM = 12

12(½x) – (12)(5/3) = (12)(–½x) + (12)(19/4).

6x – 20 = –6x + 57

6x + 6x = 57 + 20

12x = 77

x = 77/12

Define the term confidence interval?

 • The likelihood that a quantity will fall between two values near the mean is shown by a confidence interval.
 • Confidence intervals quantify how certain or uncertain a sampling technique is.
 • They are also utilized in regression analysis and hypothesis testing.

For the given question;

Confidence interval CI = 90% = 0.9

Sample size n = 56 users

Mean (x) = 22.5 years years

Standard deviation (s) = 5 years

Then formula for the CI is given as,

CI = x + z.s/√n

The steps included are-

1. Subtract 1 from sample size to get the degree of freedom df:

df = 56 - 1 = 55

2. To get teh alpha level.

α = (1 - 0.9)/2 = 0.05

3: check df and α in t-distribution to get z score.

z = 2.003

4: To get sample size,

S = s/√n

S = 5/√56

S = 0.66

z x S = 0.66 x 2.033 = 1.35

5: To get the lower range subtract 1.35 from sample mean

22.5 - 1.35 = 21.15

6:n To get the upper range, add t 1.35 from sample mean.

22.5 + 1.35 = 23.55

Thus, the confidence interval is 21.15 and 23.55.

How do i do shifting form of a parabola
pishuonlain [190]
Parabolas can shift up and down or left to right
Parabolas shifting left and right uses the formula of y=(x-a)^2 where a determined the amount it shifts.
E.g. y=(x-3)^2 moves right three units but if it was a +3 instead of -3, it moves three units to the left.
When parabolas move up or down, it uses y=mx^2+b (where b determines the amount it shifts)
If it is +10 , it moves ten units above but if it is -10 it moves ten units down

Han wrote a proof that triangle BCD is congruent to triangle DAB. Han's proof is incomplete. Which step is missing some informat
Ede4ka [16]

Answer:

The answer is below

Step-by-step explanation:

From the image, we can see that DC is parallel to AB.

Step 1:

Alternate interior angles are angles formed at the inner corners of intersection on opposite sides of transversal when two parallel lines are intersected by a transversal.

Since Line AB is parallel to line DC and cut by transversal DB. So angles CDB and ABD are alternate interior angles and must be congruent.

Step 2:

DB ≅ BD (reflexive property of congruence)

Step 3:

∠A = ∠C = 90° (right angles, given). But to prove that both triangles are congruent, the correct step 3 is:

Since, ∠A = ∠C = 90° and angles CDB and ABD are congruent. This means that the third angles in the both triangles are also congruent. Hence, angle ADB and CBD are must be congruent.

Step 4:

BD = DB, angles CDB and ABD are congruent, angle ADB and CBD are congruent.

Therefore, By the Angle-Side-Angle Triangle Congruence Theorem, triangle BCD is congruent to triangle DAB .
