The given information is,

→ $18 less than the original price is $48.

Let the value of original price be x.

The equation will be,

→ x - $18 = $48

Let's find the required solution,

→ x - 18 = 48

→ x = 48 + 18

→ [x = 66]

Hence, the original price is $66.

The answer is D. y = 2x

EXPLANATION - PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY
The equation should be in slope intercept form, y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. y-intercept means the point where the graph intercepts the y-axis.
The y-intercept is 0.

Now, to find the slope,
slope = rise/run
Find two random points on the line, such as (0,0) and (1,2)
The rise (change in y value) is 2, and the run (change in x value) is 1.
So, slope = rise/run = 2/1 = 2

Back to the slope-intercept equation:
y = mx+b
y = 2x + 0
y = 2x

Why do the ratios of sine and cosine depend upon the angle being a part of a right triangle?
katovenus [111]

Step-by-step explanation:

Think of a right triangle (refer the attached image).  If you increase or decrease the length of  one of its legs, while keeping the other leg the same (the hypotenuse  will increase as well) here we have increased the length of the perpendicular side.  You can see that the *subtending*  angle (the angle which is opposite to the increasing leg, x) gets larger,  while the *adjacent* angle (the angle with the increasing leg as one  of its rays) will decrease.

and we know that:

\sin x=\frac{AB}{AC} and \cos x=\frac{BC}{AB} in both the cases the variation of AB is causing the angles to change hence, the ratios of sine and cosine depend upon the angle being a part of a right triangle.

Can anyone help me with this?<br> Solve to find x and y in the diagram.
zhuklara [117]

Answer:

x=6 y=5

Step-by-step explanation:

parallel=90 degree

so...

15(x)=90

x=6

5(x which is 6) plus 12y=90

y=5

therefore the answer is x=6. y=5
