What is the hook in this paragraph? The high rate of popcorn consumption among Americans supports this claim. Some people think

that healthy snacks lack flavor, but that is not true. Because popcorn is relatively high in nutritional value, is fairly inexpensive, and lends itself to a variety of cooking methods, it is one of the most popular American snack foods. Popcorn, which was first enjoyed by the people of Peru over five thousand years ago, is not only healthy but also quite delicious.

How does Mansfield convey her theme in "The Daughters of the Late
Arlecino [84]

Answer:

B. By showing how weak and indecisive the sisters are .

Explanation:

Katherine Mansfield's short story The Daughters of the Late Colonel is about the two daughters of the dead Colonel and their indecisiveness in anything, be it about their father's funeral, or distributing his things or even letting go of their maid.

The sisters' indecisiveness has also been the result of being constantly under their father and focusing their lives around his. None had done really anything for the sole purpose of their lives had been to please and help their father. And once he's gone, none knows how to fully operate on their own, feeling the presence of their father even after he's dead. And in their indecisiveness, the author Katherine conveys the theme of the whole story.

Thus, the correct answer is option B.

Read the excerpt from Act II, scene vi of Romeo and Juliet.
Taya2010 [7]

Answer:

Option B, emphasize a point about love

Explanation:

In the given lines the author is trying to warn Romeo that if the intensity of love between them is violent, then such violent drift also lead to violent ends. Such extreme emotions about the kind of pleasure often end to disaster. The author further adds that even the taste of honey gets sickly even when it is sweet and hence it is essential for him to go right off it. Hence it is essential to love moderately

Hence, option B is correct
